Connect Engineering11 rooms to Claude

Add the connector once, then create, edit, and share documents by chatting with Claude — it drafts and previews them right in the conversation, and saves them to your rooms.

Documents are created and edited in Claude (that's where the live preview is). A paid plan (Pro/Max/Team/Enterprise) is best; the Free plan also allows one custom connector, so you can still author. The web app at app.rooms.engineering11.com is for viewing, organizing rooms, sharing, and people — not for editing documents.

1 · Add the connector (one time)

  1. Open Claude (the Claude app or claude.ai) → Customize in the left sidebar → Connectors → the + button → Add custom connector.
  2. Paste this address and click Connect:
    https://mcp.rooms.engineering11.com/mcp
  3. Sign in with your work email. You'll get a one-time code by email — type it in. No password, no new account. (You only do this once.)
  4. Done. Claude can now see your rooms. You'll see an "Engineering11 rooms" set of tools available in your chats.

2 · Create a document by chatting

Just describe what you want. Claude writes it, shows you a live preview right in the chat, and you refine it by talking. When you're happy, ask it to save — it lands in your room.

"Draft a one-page welcome guide for new hires, then save it to our Getting Started room."

Iterate as much as you like before (or after) saving:

"Make the heading shorter, add a section on parking, and use our blue accent."
"Save those changes."

3 · Edit, organize, share — all by asking

  • Edit: "Open the 2026 pricing one-pager and add an FAQ at the bottom."
  • New room: "Create a room called Onboarding for new-hire materials."
  • Share a link: "Share the welcome guide as a public link I can send to a candidate." (Turn it off anytime: "stop sharing it.")
  • Invite people (if you manage the company): "Invite jordan@acme.com as an editor."

What you can and can't do

You can do everything within your company — create and edit documents, make rooms (private or public), share links, and (if you're an admin) invite teammates and set who can edit vs. read. You're always limited to your own company and your role; you can't see or touch another company's rooms. Creating whole new companies is handled by your Engineering11 administrator.

Tip: ask Claude "what rooms can I see?" any time to get oriented. If a request is outside what you're allowed to do, Claude will tell you — you can't accidentally overstep.
