Power up Claude

Make Claude even better at this

Optional add-ons for people who want to go a little further. You don't need either — the connector works on its own — but the skill makes authoring smoother, and the recipe sheet is a handy reference.

Two different things. The skill is a file you install into Claude. The recipe sheet is not installed — there's nowhere to put it. It's just a list of example prompts you keep open and paste into a chat.

The authoring skill (install this)

The rooms authoring skill teaches Claude the house style for room documents — the draft-then-preview-then-save loop, clean self-contained layouts, brand themes, controlled (governed) documents, and how to use the rooms tools well — so you get better first drafts with less back-and-forth.

Latest version: 1.36.0 (updated 2026-07-25). Already installed it? Check yours in Claude under Customize → Skills → rooms-authoring — the version is on the first line. If it's older, upgrade (below).

Download the skill v1.36.0rooms-authoring.zip

  1. Turn on code execution (one time, required for skills). On Free / Pro / Max: Settings → Capabilities, enable code execution. On Team / Enterprise, an owner enables it in organization settings.
  2. Download the skill ZIP above. Leave it zipped — Claude wants the ZIP, not the file inside it.
  3. Open Customize in Claude's left sidebar → Skills → the + button → Create skillUpload a skill, and choose the ZIP.
  4. That's it. The skill appears under Customize → Skills (toggle it on). Next time you ask Claude to create or edit a room document, it follows the house style automatically.

Upgrading to a newer version

Skills don't update themselves — when a new version ships here, replace your copy:

  1. Check your version: in Claude, Customize → Skills → rooms-authoring; the version is the first line ("Skill version …"). Compare it to 1.36.0 above.
  2. Remove the old one: on that skill, choose Delete (or Remove).
  3. Add the new one: download the ZIP above and re-upload it via Skills → + → Create skill → Upload a skill.
No skills on your plan? Skip it — the connector already gives Claude everything it needs to do the work. The Recipes page covers the common requests in plain English.

The recipe sheet (no install — just paste)

The recipe sheet is the same list of things to say, as one file you can keep open and copy lines from. There is nothing to install — Claude has no "commands" to add, so you simply paste a line into the chat. Read it online on the Recipes page, or grab a copy:
